| Title:
Mann
Artist Comments: This is a piece I worked on with artist
Chris Coleman. I helped him with the general design of the figure and
sculpting the head. He is fully articulated and amazingly crafted. Chris
hoped at some point to use him in a stop-motion animation, but unfortunately
his joints are much too loose. I sculpted his head from Cernit polymer
clay, beginning first with a papier maché "skull."
His eyes are small light bulbs. Though it's hard to see in the picture,
his left "ear" is a small arm that reaches up and rests its
hand on the side of his head. I tried to give him an expression that
could seem very different depending on what angle or lighting you put
him in, which turned out very well.
